В праздник Преображения Господня Патриарший Экзарх Юго-Восточной Азии совершил Божественную Литургию и священническую хиротонию в Свято-Николаевском кафедральном соборе в Бангкоке

19 августа 2024 года, в праздник Преображения Господа Бога и Спаса нашего Иисуса Христа, Патриарший Экзарх Юго-Восточной Азии, митрополит Сингапурский и Юго-Восточно-Азиатский Сергий, временно управляющий Таиландской епархией, совершил Божественную Литургию в Свято-Николаевском кафедральном соборе в Бангкоке, Королевство Таиланд. В канун праздника митрополит Сергий совершил Всенощное бдение.

За Литургией Патриарший Экзарх совершил священническую хиротонию диакона Николая Сиджабата, клирика Сингапурской епархии.

По традиции праздника Преображения Господня по окончании Божественной Литургии митрополит Сергий совершил освящение плодов нового урожая.

В завершение богослужения Архипастырь произнес проповедь по случаю праздника. Владыка также поздравил новорукоположенного иерея Николая и обратился к нему с напутственным словом. После чего преподал собравшимся архипастырское благословение.

Праздничный день продолжился общением за трапезой.

On the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia celebrated the Divine Liturgy and a priestly ordination at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Bangkok

On August 19, 2024, on the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, interim head of the Diocese of Thailand, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Bangkok. On the eve of the feast, Metropolitan Sergiy celebrated the Vigil.

During the Liturgy, the Patriarchal Exarch celebrated the priestly ordination of Deacon Nicholas Sijabat, a clergymen of the Diocese of Singapore. According to the tradition, after the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Sergiy blessed the fruits of the new harvest. At the end of the service, the Archpastor delivered a sermon on the occasion of the feast. The Bishop also congratulated the newly ordained priest Nicholas and addressed him a guiding word, after which he gave the congregation the archpastoral blessing. The festive day continued with fellowship over a meal.
