24 декабря 2025 года, в Посольстве Российской Федерации в Королевстве Камбоджа прошла встреча выпускников высших учебных заведений СССР и России. В мероприятии принял участие Патриарший Экзарх Юго-Восточной Азии, митрополит Сингапурский и Юго-Восточно-Азиатский Сергий, временно управляющий Таиландской епархией.

В начале мероприятия Посол Российской Федерации А. В. Боровик выступил с приветственным словом. Глава дипмиссии особо подчеркнул растущий интерес камбоджийской молодёжи к получению образования в России. Он отметил, что российские вузы обеспечивают высокий уровень подготовки по широкому спектру направлений, гарантируя качественное освоение различных областей знаний.

В своём ответном слове Президент Ассоциации бывших камбоджийских студентов из Советского Союза и России Нел Ратха подчеркнул, что образование, полученное в СССР и России, внесло неоценимый вклад в строительство и развитие современной Камбоджи.

Мероприятие посетили Министр культуры и изящных искусств Королевства Пхыен Сакона, известные государственные деятели, работники науки и культуры Камбоджи, а также сотрудники посольства и российских загранучреждений.

On December 24, 2025, the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergiy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, temporary administrator of the Diocese of Thailand, attended a meeting of graduates of higher education institutions of the USSR and Russia. The event was held at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

At the beginning of the event, Russian Ambassador A.V. Borovik delivered welcoming remarks. The head of the diplomatic mission emphasized the growing interest of Cambodian youth in pursuing education in Russia. He noted that Russian universities provide a high level of training in a wide range of fields, guaranteeing high-quality mastery of various fields of study.

In his response, Nel Ratha, President of the Association of Former Cambodian Students from the Soviet Union and Russia, emphasized that education received in the USSR and Russia has made an invaluable contribution to the construction and development of modern Cambodia.

The event was attended by the Kingdom’s Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, H.E. Dr. Phoeurng Sackona, prominent government officials, Cambodian scientists and cultural figures, as well as employees of the embassy and Russian missions abroad.
